Rostock's public transportation, managed by Rostocker Straßenbahn AG (RSAG), offers an efficient network of trams, buses, and ferries, ensuring seamless connectivity across the city and to scenic Warnemünde. The tram system forms the network's backbone, complemented by buses that cover wider areas and ferries that add a picturesque route across the Warnow River.

The conference site Ulmenstraße Campus is right next to the local transport hub Parkstraße which is serviced by city rail lines S1, S2, and S3, tram lines 3 and 6, as well as bus lines 25 and 27. Additionally, bus line 39 serves the stop Dethardingstraße which is also in the direct vicinity of the conference site. Alternatively, the hub Holbeinplatz connects to S1, S2, and S3, tram lines 1, 2, and 5, and bus lines 28 and 34 and is in about 20 minutes walking distance from the conference site.

The closest international airports are Hamburg (HAM) and Berlin-Brandenburg (BER). The local airport Rostock-Laage is unfortunately not service by any commercial airline anymore.

From HAM, there is a city train (S1) with a direct connection to Hamburg Central Station (Hamburg Hbf). From there you can take the regional train (RE) to Rostock or the ICE to Rostock/Stralsund to Rostock Central Station (Rostock Hbf).

From BER, there are several direct Intercity (IC) train connections to Rostock Hbf. Alternatively, there are connection with regional trains via Berlin (Central Station, Südkreuz or Gesundbrunnen) or Schwerin.

There are ferry services to Rostock Harbor from Gedser by Scandlines, from Trelleborg or Klaipėda by TT-Lines, and from Trelleborg by Stena Line.

Due to the closure of the Hamburg-Schwerin track (see the other box), please consider flying into BER instead of HAM. The regional train connection from HAM to Rostock requires 3 train changes with sometimes very short time in between.
